Commenting on his participation in the 2024 Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup, Dr Shihab Aldin said: "This is my third time attending AVC events, having participated in various Technical Committees of Asian Championships and Cups. It is an honour and privilege to support the AVC family in the Control Committee. I would like to extend my gratitude to the AVC family for their trust and confidence in me, and for giving me the golden opportunity to be part of the AVC Challenge Cup for the second successive time. I also greatly appreciate the AVC Coaches Committee for their cooperation in developing coaches in the Asian zone. This is a significant championship in Asia, and I am so grateful to be one of the members of the Technical Control Committee for this tournament on the Asian continent."

"I have been a member of the AVC Coaches Committee since 2012, and this is my ninth appearance in Asian competitions and events overall. The AVC Women’s Challenge Cup is a new event for me, having been launched just last year. This tournament features some of the strongest volleyball teams in Asia and showcases a high level of performance. With ten teams participating, it is a great opportunity for all teams in Asia to gain more technical experience and enhance their players' performance," he concluded.
