Muscat: As part of Royal Orders, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has started distributing electronic sensors to measure sugar levels and insulin pumps to Omani children with type 1 diabetes who are under the age of 18.


It may be noted that royal orders approved an annual budget for the Ministry of Health to provide electronic sensor devices to measure sugar levels and insulin pumps for children with type 1 diabetes, especially for children in school and preschoolers


These sensors are among the latest technologies and advanced methods for reducing the symptoms resulting from blood sugar diseases, as they allow for accurate monitoring that leads to reducing the complications of this disease.


There is no cure for type 1 diabetes. Still, it can be controlled and controlled in children to reduce the occurrence of serious complications using advanced medical methods and modern technologies that lead to improving the quality of life. Which helps them to be able to live with the disease, practice the details of their normal lives, and participate in various school and social activities.


The royal orders to provide these modern technologies to diabetic children and school students aim to provide support to them and their families, given the difficulty some people with the disease face in accepting traditional treatment that relies heavily on insulin injections.
