COMEX 2024 is just a week away!

Oman’s leading annual technology exhibition is just a week away. COMEX 2024, the global technology show, organised by The Arabian Research Bureau in cooperation with the government’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, is all set to open its door for the public to attend, learn, explore, network and be part of the latest happening and advancement in the world of information and communications technology (from both Oman and the GCC countries as well).

The event will run for 4 days consecutively, i.e. from 27 May to 30, next week, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. Over 70,000 people comprising of tech enthusiasts, startups, innovators, industry experts, investors, and visionaries are expected to attend this most anticipated locally supported yet with global reach technology event.

Like every year, the exhibition aims for Oman to be a technology investment destination that also showcases indicators of development in the National Programme for Digital Economy. More than 100 Omani startups with technology products, digital solutions and services will be participating at this annual coveted event. What’s new this year though includes but is not limited to showcasing, demonstrating and highlighting the latest advancement in 5G Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Smart City Technologies, Blockchain and Cybersecurity, Startup Ecosystem , Virtual and Augmented Reality, Green Technologies, E-Government Services – definitely a one-stop-shop and venue for any individual or business that wish to explore the latest tech trends and networking with industry leaders in the region.

What more? I understand more-than 24 different elements. intriguing activities and zones will be featured at the event. This again includes but is not limited to Banking, Fintech (financial technology) and InsureTechZone (insurance powered by technology).

Innovative solutions and advancement of digital banking, cryptocurrency, digital wallets and more will be discussed and presented by various solution providers in Oman, and around the region as well. Futhermore, workshops will be organized to help attendees and participants expand their knowledge and skills via interactive experts and professionals from the region.

There will also be special zone at the event for for companies to promote the latest technology in renewable and sustainable energy. Highlight will be on Drones, Future Mobility, EV, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Zone. Additionally, like last year yet with enhanced value, the exhibition will also feature Hackathons, Gaming and Esports on the sidelines to name a few.

Investors, businessmen and entrepreneur will also have a special space for them next week at the VIP B2B Buyers and Meeting Zone. This zone has been specifically created for businesses that looks to meet, network, discuss, invest, collaborate and ultimately grow together. The 2nd Digital Government Forum provides valuable insights from keynote speakers and panel discussions featuring top experts from around the GCC, sharing their vision for the future of technology. The COMEX VIP Majlis, which connects industry leaders, potential partners, and like-minded individuals to foster collaboration and innovation in a private zone. The Tech Startup Zone, which promotes new tech companies, as well as provide a platform where emerging startups will pitch their groundbreaking ideas and solutions, and investors are able to scout for promising innovations.
