Muscat: In a move that significantly contributes to Oman’s food security goals, Al Maskaan Village (AVM) has signed a strategic agreement with Trufud, Oman’s largest indoor vertical farm.
This partnership ensures a steady supply of fresh, organic leafy vegetables for both Al Maskaan Village residents and, more specifically, Al Maskaan Catering.
This collaboration between Al Maskaan Village and Trufud goes beyond simply securing a reliable source of vegetables.
It signifies a commitment to supporting Oman’s vision for a self-sufficient and sustainable food system. Trufud’s innovative indoor farming techniques use significantly less water and land compared to traditional agriculture, making them a perfect partner for AMV’s environmentally conscious approach.
“We are thrilled to partner with Trufud,” said Ryan Maxwell, Business Development Manager at Al Maskaan Village.
“This agreement aligns perfectly with our vision of creating a sustainable and healthy community.
By supporting Trufud’s innovative farming methods, we are not only ensuring a steady supply of fresh produce for our residents and catering service, but also contributing to Oman’s food security goals.”
