Oman Club secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Al Nahdha on Wednesday evening in a postponed match of the Oman Professional League at the Seeb Sports Stadium.

The first half was a tightly contested affair with both teams creating chances but failing to convert. Oman Club had the slight edge and threatened Al Nahdha's goal on several occasions, with Nasser al Rawahi's powerful shot in the 15th minute and Mohammed al Ghafri's header in the 22nd minute going close. Al Nahdha attempted to respond but struggled to pose a serious threat to Oman Club goalkeeper Abdulaziz al Hasani, and the first half ended scoreless.

Al Nahdha started the second half brightly, creating clear-cut chances for their attackers Al Subhi and Al Malki in the opening five minutes, but these opportunities lacked the quality required to break the deadlock. Al Hasani remained resolute in goal, keeping the scoreline level.

In the 61st minute, Al Nahdha took the lead through a header from striker Omar al Malki following a scramble inside the penalty area. Oman Club manager responded with tactical substitutions in all three lines, aiming to restore balance and find an equaliser. Their efforts paid off in the 66th minute when Nasser al Rawahi levelled the score with a powerful strike that beat Al Nahdha goalkeeper Ibrahim al Mukhaini.

As the match progressed and the clock ticked towards full-time, Oman Club found their winning moment in the 78th minute. Al Rawahi completed his brace, dribbling past Al Nahdha defenders and slotting the ball past Al Mukhaini to secure all three points for his team. The final minutes saw both sides continue to push for a goal, but the score remained 2-1 in favour of Oman Club.

With this victory, Oman Club climbed to third place in the standings with 36 points, leapfrogging Sohar, while Al Nahdha remained in second place with 40 points. Oman Club's win intensifies the race for second place, delaying Al Nahdha's confirmation as runners-up.
