The fair has drawn a substantial number of exhibitors and visitors from across the globe, presenting Oman with an excellent opportunity to introduce its beauty and culture to a diverse audience.

The Doha International Book Fair holds significant regional, Arab and international stature among book fairs, providing a comprehensive window for visitors to explore diverse aspects of Omani culture.
This year, Oman’s participation is noteworthy as the country is the guest of honour for the 33rd edition of the fair, themed “With Knowledge, Civilisations Are Built.” Represented by 17 publishing houses, the Omani pavilion stands out amidst the participation of over 515 publishing houses from 42 countries.
Visitors to the Omani pavilion are taken on a journey through various books that reflect the culture and civilisation of Oman. The pavilion features a collection of Omani cultural elements registered on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, alongside rare manuscripts dating back a thousand years.
These displays offer a glimpse into the Sultanate’s rich heritage, traditions and customs, narrating stories about Oman's distinctive literature, arts and culture, while also promoting its tourism, cultural and civilisational assets.
Oman's presence at international forums is vital for promoting tourism and raising awareness about its cultural and historical wealth. This participation aims to introduce the world to Oman’s vision, aspirations, goals and the opportunities that arise from them across different sectors. It also reaffirms the collaborative roles and responsibilities of governmental and private agencies in implementing and highlighting Oman’s vision both locally and internationally.
