Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has expressed deep concern over Israeli forces’ continued military escalation, war crimes and genocide against unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

Oman cautioned against the dire consequences of the military operations that the Israeli occupation forces intend to carry out by storming the city of Rafah. "Such action portends serious catastrophic impacts that may expand the conflict and tension in the region", Oman added.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, the Sultanate of Oman urged the international community to immediately intervene to stop the war and terminate the ongoing Israeli violations of international law and international humanitarian law.

Oman called upon the international community to hold Israel fully responsible for such violations, war crimes, the policy of starvation and forced expulsion of citizens. It pointed out that all these brutal actions represent “stark crimes against humanity”.
