Leading Omani oil and gas services company Abraj Energy Services is making waves in the African markets through a strategic partnership with Sonatrach, marking a significant milestone in the hydrocarbon sector. The collaboration between these two industry giants is set to redefine the landscape of energy exploration and production in the region.


The agreement, sealed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), represents a bold move by Abraj Energy Services to expand its footprint into African markets, following its successful operations in the Wafra field shared between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. By joining forces with Sonatrach, the largest oil and gas company in Algeria and Africa, Abraj Energy Services is poised to enhance its service portfolio and deliver cutting-edge solutions to meet the evolving needs of the energy sector.


The signing ceremony, held in Muscat, brought together key executives including Eng Saif al Hamhami, CEO of Abraj Energy Services, and Farhat Aounougui, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at Sonatrach. With the presence of industry leaders and dignitaries, the event marked the beginning of a new chapter in energy cooperation between Oman and Algeria.


Eng Saif al Hamhami expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the strategic importance of expanding into African markets and leveraging the expertise of both companies to drive innovation and excellence in the oil and gas industry. Rachid Hachichi, CEO and Chairman of Sonatrach, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the transformative impact of the partnership on the energy supply chain in Africa.
