Suhar: A series of health projects in Al Batinah North has been recently completed. Those projects reflect the commitment of improving healthcare services in the governorate.
The expansion of Sohar Hospital at a cost of RO 28 million has been inaugurated. It will provide new 270 beds, to make the total capacity for the hospital to about 636 beds.
Furthermore, the structural framework for Al Suwaiq Hospital has been finalised spanning an area of 287,000 square meters. This project valued at RO 75 million equips the hospital with 256 beds to cater to the area's growing healthcare needs.
Kidney dialysis units have been set up at Sohar Health center, covering an area of 2,138 square meters, costing RO 1 million. This unit includes 21 beds and isolation rooms for renal patients.
Another kidney dialysis unit has been established in Saham Hospital, spanning 800 square meters and costing RO50,000. This unit, equipped with 19 beds and isolation facilities, shows a commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services.
Another recreational facilities project was completed recently in Al Tayyibah in the Wilayat of Liwa, in collaboration with Vale Oman. It features pathways for walking and cycling tracks, extending over 1.2 kilometers, surrounded by gardens and comfortable seats, to promote exercise and physical activity for the community.
