The Omani national chess team achieved a draw in the second round with the Yemeni team with a score of 2-2, as part of their participation in the Asian Cities Chess Championship in Russia, which is being held from April 21 to 30.
In the team championship, which consists of nine rounds, the Omani team had lost to the Russian team in the first round with a score of 4-0. They will play the third round against the Sri Lankan team.
The Omani team is represented in the championship by four players: Abdullah al Maashani, Amer al Maashani, Salem al Amri and Hamood al Busaidi.
