MUSCAT, APRIL 23

Sur Club ended Seeb Club's winning streak with a 3-1 victory in their match in the 18th round of the Omantel League on Monday.

The match started with an attacking style of play, especially from Seeb, who launched a strong attack at the beginning of the half, but Sur goalkeeper Bilal al Balushi brilliantly saved a powerful shot from Hamad al Habsi.

Seeb took the lead in the 12th minute through Mohsin al Ghassani, who curled a shot from outside the penalty area into the back of Sur net.

Seeb continued to control the match and had many chances to increase their lead, but goalkeeper Bilal al Balushi shone and saved his goal from certain goals.

In the 44th minute, Sur managed to equalise after an assist from Mamoun al Makhini, which allowed professional Robert Jalsa to score the equaliser. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.

The second half started strongly and aggressively, and the chances continued for Seeb, but goalkeeper Bilal al Balushi continued to shine and saved his goal from more than one goal. In the 76th minute, Sur took the lead through Yousef Nasser at 2-1. Sur added the third goal in the 83rd minute through Al Harith al Makhini to break Seeb's winning streak by 3-1.

With this result, Sur raised their tally to 18 points in 10th place, widening the gap with 11th-placed Bahla to 4 points after the latter drew with Sohar, while Seeb's tally remained at 47 points, retaining the top spot in the league, 14 points ahead of second-placed Al Nahda.

RUSTAQ DOWN AL NASR

At Al Saada Sports Complex, Al Rustaq Club achieved an important 2-1 victory over Al Nasr.

In the first half, Rustaq opened the scoring in the 28th minute through Feston before Ahed al Mashaykhi added the second goal in the 39th minute.

Al Nasr managed to reduce the deficit in the 73rd minute through Abdullah, but that was not enough to prevent them from losing.

The match witnessed field control by Al Nasr for most of its periods, but Al Rustaq intelligently exploited the opportunities that came their way and decided the result in their favour.

With this result, Al Rustaq raised their tally to 24 points to advance to fifth place, while Al Nasr remained with their previous tally (21 points) and fell to sixth place.

At the Sports Sports Complex, Sohar Club drew with their guests Bahla 1-1.

Bahla took the lead in the 27th minute through their professional player Loki, while Sohar equalised in the 84th minute through their substitute Alexander Di Stefano.

With this result, Sohar raised their tally to 29 points in fourth place, while Bahla's tally became 14 points in the penultimate place.
