MUSCAT: Mohammed bin Abdullah al Hamdani and Moaz bin Khaled al Masrouri were crowned as Stars of Eloquence on Friday. Around 21 contestants from across Oman took part in the finals of the second season of the TV show organised by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Information held in two categories: the junior category (6-12 years), and the youth category (13-18 years).
Al Hamdani, the junior star of Al Batinah South Governorate, won the grand prize in the junior category. Nada bint Nasser al Ghanbousiyah, the junior star of Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, won second place, while Asayel bint Saeed al Habsiyah, the junior star of Al Sharqiyah North Governorate, came third and Buthaina bint Issa al Sulaimaniyah, the junior star of Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, won fourth place.
Al Masrouri, the youth star of Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, won the grand prize in the youth category followed by Omar bin Ahmed al Shuaibi, the youth star of Al Buraimi Governorate, Al Baraa bin Amer al Awaed, the youth star of Dhofar Governorate, and Abdulaziz bin Saud al Busaidi, the youth star of Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
Over 2,000 competitors from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman went through multiple stages of qualifiers of this season.
