Muscat: Seeb maintained their commanding lead in the Omantel League title race with a 2- 0 victory over Al Wahda on Thursday at the Seeb Sports Stadium in Round 17. The match remained goalless at half-time, but Seeb came alive in the second half, taking the lead through a Frank William penalty in the 62nd minute. Abdulaziz al Muqbali sealed the result with a second goal in the 76th minute.

The win extends Seeb's lead at the top of the table to 47 points, 14 points clear of defending champions Al Nahda, who have a game in hand. Al Wahda, on the other hand, remain at the bottom of the table with 10 points. In another Round 17 match, Sur and Bahla played out a goalless draw at the Nizwa Sports Complex on Thursday.

The draw leaves Sur in 10th place with 15 points, while Bahla remain in 11th place with 13 points. The result does little to change the relegation picture, with 11th place being the first relegation spot at the end of the season.
