MUSCAT: Oman-based events and energy intelligence agency Birba has announced a strategic partnership with the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) to support the joint hosting of the ‘Cairo Sustainable Energy Week – CSEW’. An agreement to this effect was signed at RCREEE's headquarters in Cairo recently.

RCREEE, a non-profit intergovernmental organization, is committed to advancing renewable energy and energy efficiency across 17 Arab countries, including the Sultanate of Oman. CSEW, the annual flagship event of RCREEE, is solidifying its regional presence following the success of its inaugural edition. The event aims to bolster communication and international collaboration in sustainable energy and promote renewable energy adoption across the Middle East and North Africa region. The MENA region is one of the most energy-intensive region globally and faces significant challenges in transitioning towards sustainable energy production methods.

In line with its mission to foster knowledge exchange and innovation in sustainable energy, RCREEE partnered with Birba, a distinguished institution dedicated to promoting sustainable economic growth through the fusion of ideas, business intelligence, marketing, media, and communication strategies. This collaboration aims to facilitate cooperation, enhance trade relations, and drive positive economic outcomes among regional and global stakeholders.

CSEW will feature a three-day program showcasing the latest trends and cutting-edge technologies in the renewable energy market from solar, wind, CCUS and renewable hydrogen. The programming will include a three-day conference, side events, specialized training courses masterclass workshops, and a dynamic exhibition. The event will also provide a platform for startups and entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative solutions to potential investors and partners.

By organizing CSEW, BIRBA and RCREEE aim to raise public awareness about the importance of advancing renewable energy utilization, implementing energy efficiency measures, and transitioning towards a more sustainable energy landscape. The event will support technical knowledge exchange, foster strategic partnerships, and drive collaborative efforts towards achieving sustainable energy goals.
