An atmosphere of joy and happiness prevailed throughout the Wilayat of Shinas during blessed Eid al-Fitr as people exchanged greetings and took part in various events and activities.
The wilayat witnessed many diverse events held in various centers and villages, including artistic performances, poetry evenings, and sports competitions for children. Some families also organized traditional games and prepared sweets and traditional cuisine.
People visited the elderly, relatives, and friends to exchange greetings embodying the spirit of solidarity and cooperation that distinguishes Omani society. Homes witnessed an atmosphere of warmth and joy, as families gathered to eat the traditional lunch, which included various types of grilled meat and sweets.
Various government and private agencies contributed to adding joy to the Eid atmosphere by organizing diverse events suitable for all ages.
The municipality of Shinas organised various events for adults and children in the Shinas Public Park on Thursday and Friday. The events witnessed a large turnout of residents and visitors, who flocked to enjoy the distinctive Eid atmosphere.
The events included entertaining theatrical performances by a local theater group, which were well received by the audience, especially the children who interacted with the performers. The events also witnessed juggling by a skilled artist who amazed the audience with his skills and agility.
The events were not limited to adults only, but the municipality also allocated an area for children to play and have fun, where various games were provided to suit all ages, in addition to face painting, in cooperation with the Creative Private School.
Many of the attendees expressed their happiness with these events, stressing that they contributed to adding an atmosphere of joy and happiness to the blessed Eid al Fitr. They also praised the efforts of the municipality in organizing these events and providing them to the public free of charge.
Aisha Al Riyisi said, "These events add a beautiful atmosphere to the blessed Eid al-Fitr. We hope that the municipality will continue to organise such events on future occasions. In addition, adding these events creates a suitable atmosphere for children to enjoy Eid and a suitable place for families.
Saeed bin Mohammed, a resident of the wilayat, said, "It was a wonderful and distinctive atmosphere. My family and I enjoyed watching the shows and playing in the park. Every year, we faced difficulty in finding a suitable place to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with family and friends. We had to go to distant public places or stay at home. But this year, thanks to the municipality's initiative, we have a wonderful place to celebrate in the heart of the wilayat. These events saved us a lot of effort and effort and created a suitable atmosphere for children."
