Muscat - His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the Supreme Commander, issued his special royal pardon to prisoners convicted in various cases on Tuesday.
An official statement at the Royal Oman Police said that 154 pardoned prisoners included citizens and foreigners.
The royal pardon comes from His Majesty the Sultan Supreme coinciding with the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, and out of consideration for the families of these prisoners.
