Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister and Dr Hossein Amir-Abdollahian Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a session of political talks at the premises of the Foreign Ministry, on Sunday. They reviewed a number of topics pertaining to bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways to foster them.
The two ministers praised the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries that are based on the principles of good neighbourliness and mutual trust which contributed to bolstering the Omani-Iranian relations and bringing more benefits to the two countries and the two friendly peoples.
The ministers discussed a number of regional and international developments of common interest most importantly the Palestinian cause and the ongoing events in the Gaza Strip.
They underscored the significance of supporting the Palestinian people, rejecting any attempts to displace them from their lands and lending all humanitarian, political and legal support to the Palestinians to help them achieve their legitimate rights in accordance with international law as well as ending the siege and escalations inflicted by Israeli occupation. — ONA
