Uganda's embassy coordinating office in Oman organised an iftar programme for its community which was also attended by friends of Ugandans.
This comes within the framework of the continued implementation of ‘Ramadhan, the month of sharing’.
It aims to promote the values of solidarity and cooperation among members of different communities and consolidate cultural interaction between them.
"It was a wonderful opportunity for them to meet each other during the holy month and enhances community cohesion. This is also part of our initiatives to bring the Ugandans in Oman together to share good moments," Esther Babirye, Uganda's embassy coordinator in Oman, said.
Omar, a Ugandan in Oman who was one of the organisers expressed his happiness to take part in the iftar programme, which enabled him to gather members of his community and contributed to strengthening the bonds of social communication between them.
