A ceremony was held at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre to announce “Hidaya Endowment Institution”, which seeks to provide sustainable financial resources to fund projects that explain the Islamic Religion and promote cultural exchange through community partnership.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA).
Hidaya will focus on highlighting the values of true Islam, address non-Muslims and provide support for cultural exchange programmes. It will underscore the civilizational role of Omani society and promote scholarly communication among nations, peoples and societies.
Hidaya signed five memoranda of understanding (MoU) that deal with strategic partnerships with other institutions, government departments and private sector establishments. The MoUs will cover various aspects of cooperation, coordination and integration aimed at expanding the scope and impact of such cultural action.
Hidaya institution will also provide support for new Muslims and gain society’s confidence.
The ceremony was attended by senior representatives of government and private establishments and parties interested in the endowment sector.
