Embassy honors Pakistani health, social workers

MUSCAT: In a tribute to the heroes of healthcare and social welfare, the Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat organised a special event to recognise the invaluable contributions of Pakistani doctors, healthcare and social workers in Oman. The event, held on the eve of Pakistan Day celebrations was the third of a series of gatherings aimed at celebrating the spirit of solidarity and service.


Rudaina Amur Al Hajri, the chief guest at the event, distributed certificates among the awardees. Abdul Lateed Uppala, member BoD of OCCI and owner of Badr As Sama Group, and Shaikh Abdullah Mohammad Alajmi were the guests of honor at the event.


The event was well attended by diplomats, community leaders and Pakistanis from all walks of life to honor the dedication exemplified by Pakistani professionals serving in Oman.


The doctors who were recognized had served in Oman with compassion for several years. They are the healers of humanity who had specifically exhibited great commitment during the difficult times of pandemic and were the frontline warriors. Their service touched countless lives embodying the finest traditions of the medical profession.


Around twenty five social workers of Pakistani community from all across Oman were recognized in the event and awarded certificates. These community leaders are the helping hands of the Embassy is supporting the much needed community service all across Oman.


Imran Ali, Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman, expressed admiration at the remarkable contributions made by the awardees. He reaffirmed the Embassy's unwavering commitment to support and empower Pakistani professionals in Oman.


The gathering was enthralled by heart touching performances of children of Pakistan Schools depicting the culture and arts of different regions of Pakistan. The audience appreciated the violin performance at the event.


In celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Pakistani healthcare and social workers, the Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat reaffirmed its commitment to foster a culture of appreciation and support for those who selflessly serve humanity.
