BERLIN: Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism (MoHT), Head of Oman’s delegation participating in the ITB Berlin, on Wednesday held meeting with Wolfgang Schyrocki, State Secretary of the Senate Department for Finance in the Federal Republic of Germany, at the Omani pavilion.
The Minister of Heritage and Tourism also held a meeting with Clayton Bartolo, Minister for Tourism in the Republic of Malta.
The two meetings discussed means of enhancing cooperation relations between Oman and these countries in the tourism field.
The meetings were attended by Azzan bin Qasim al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, and a number of officials at the ministry.
Meanwhile, Oman Post, an affiliate of Asyad Group, launched in Berlin a set of stamps featuring the most important tourism sites in different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
The launch ceremony took place at the Oman’s pavilion at ITB Berlin under the auspices of Haitham bin Mohammed al Ghassani, Director-General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.
The stamps highlight tourism landmarks in the Empty Quarter Desert, Barr Al Hikman peninsula in the Wilayat of Mahout, Burj Al Seera tower in the Wilayat of Qurayat, Sharbathat Beach in the Wilayat of Shaleem and Al Halaniyat Islands, Ain Khor waterfalls in the Wilayat of Salalah and Misfat Al Abriyeen tourist village in the Wilayat of Al Hamra.
