MUSCAT: Apollo Hospital Bengaluru In association with Muscat Family Physicians' Group & Global Treatment Service organized an International conference on the use of artificial intelligence in treating stroke and advance technologies in brain & spine surgeries in Muscat last week .
Dr Satish Satyanarayana of Apollo Hospital, Bengaluru, in his presentation emphasised how new technologies have helped surgeons in better outcome with least complications for the patients. He showed the latest gadgets which are used like Neuro-microscope, O-Arm, Neuro- Navigation, High speed Pneumatic drills, Neuro-endoscope, Stereotaxy, Intra-Op Neuro-monitoring, Helical CT, MRI, IMRI, MRS & Endovascular surgery.
Dr Gurucharan Adoor of Apollo Hospital, Bengaluru presented some very interesting cases of stroke needing interventions. He also spoke extensively on the role of AI in the diagnosis and treatment in some complicated stroke cases.
Meeting was attended by over 65 eminent neurosurgeons, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, internists, paediatricians, anesthetics, A&E specialists, family physicians, homepaths and ayurvedics.
