Muscat: TECS beat Bank Muscat by 3 runs in the Final of the A/B Division T20 tournament powered by Khimji Ramdas LLC & Al Ansari Group of Companies at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground recently.
Electing to bat first, TECS posted a total of 147/9 despite having a bolstering start provided by Ravi Sharma scoring 28 and Abdul Malik scoring 57 to reach 84 at the half-way mark. Bank Muscat’s Usman Ali Shah picking 3 wickets and Adnan Ul Haq picking 2 wickets restricted TECS from getting a big total despite Mustaqeem Asif’s effort scoring 25 at the end. In response, Bank Muscat lost early wickets courtesy Shanidh KT and Devansh Loya and could only score 17 off the first 5 overs. Jaleel’s two overs in the death went for mere 8 runs picking 2 wickets and taking TECS over the line by 3 runs.
