Muscat: The Oman Basketball Association (OBA) met on Sunday to discuss preparations for hosting the Gulf and Arab U-18 3x3 Basketball Championships. The tournaments will be held at The Wave Muscat from March 1 to 4.

The meeting was chaired by Eng Khalfan bin Saleh al Naabi, OBA Chairman and Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Championships. Dr Ali bin Salam al Ameri, Vice President, Mohammed bin Nasser al Hassani, Acting Secretary-General, members of the Board of Directors and heads of the organising committees for the two championships attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Al Naabi stressed Oman's readiness to host the Gulf and Arab 3x3 Basketball Championships. This is in coordination with the Gulf Organising Committee and the Arab Basketball Federation."

The technical committee of the championships has completed the installation of the training court for the participating teams at The Wave, and the main court will be installed on Tuesday.

He pointed out that the organising committees for the championship include young men and women who have the necessary experience to organise various championships. He praised the efforts of the association's partners and supporters in making the championship a success, represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, The Wave Muscat, and Oman Sail.
