Oman Open Tennis competitions continue

MUSCAT: The Oman Open Tennis Championship (OOTC) competitions reached the decisive stages, after the level of competition witnessed in the past few days, which witnessed the participation of 130 participants from plenty category such as joiner, Mans, women and veterans who competed on the tennis courts at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.


The results of the men's singles category were that the Italian player Gampaolo won over the Syrian player Joma 6/1 7/5 in under mans 50 category and qualified for the quarter-finals. In the mixed doubles quarter-finals, the player Oche and Anaam al Mas won over the doubles pair Jacqueline and Sunday As 6/3 and 6/2. In the under 14 boys, player Waleed al Hashmi defeated Anas Vays 6/1 and 6/2. In the 18-year-old boys category, a player from Advey Kapoor advanced to the quarter-finals at the expense of a player from Manraj after winning 7/6 (3/6 - 10/7), which is one of the most notable matches. Overall for 4-year-old Sivan defeated the player Ratish Andak 6� and 6� singles, and in it the Lebanese team Faten defeated the historical Turkish player Serpil 61 and 61.


Mohammed al Falahi, the assistant general referee said that the OOTA tournament commenced amidst much anticipation and excitement. With the top players showing their prowess on the courts, the tournament has unfolded into a spectacle of skill , determination and sportsmanship


Despite encountering a few setbacks in the form of minor injuries to some players in the men's draw, the resilience & professionalism by both players and organisers alike have ensured the seamless continuation of the event.


Furthermore, it is imperative to extend my gratitude to the Oman Tennis Federation for entrusting me with the responsibility of organising and officiating this prestigious tournament,


In conclusion, the commencement of the tournament has been nothing short of a resounding success - thanks to the collective efforts of the players, organisers and unwavering support of the Oman Tennis Federation.
