Oman Open Tennis Championship started on Wednesday under organization of Oman Tennis Association (OTA) after long absence. The event is offering cash prize awards with 8000 OMR to the top winners witness participation of more than 130 talented players. This marks a significant milestone with respect to encouraging upcoming tennis talent in Oman.
The event has set the stage to witness technical skills, dedication & sportsmanship. The tournament is being held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.
The event will run until 3rd of March commencing in the evening session and finish at 10:00 pm. The opening day of the tournament featured sixteen intense matches, producing captivating results:
In the under-14 boys' competition, Richard secured a hard-fought victory over Advay with a score of 4/6, 6/4, and 10-5. Similarly, in the same category, Nilesh emerged victorious against Arnai with a scoreline of 7/6, 6/3.
Saad Al-Sulaimani triumphed over Nasser Yousef with a score of 6/4, 6/3.
Rajvan demonstrated dominance over Arindam with a score of 6/2, 6/0. Marcello Attina won against Dustan Sisrakumara 7/5, 6/1
