Muscat: A press conference by the main committee of the Muscat International Book Fair was held on Wednesday to reveal details of the activities of the 28th edition, which will be held between February 21 and March 2
The Al Dhahirah Governorate will be this edition's guest of honor, featuring 847 participants from 34 countries and 19,000 books.
Egypt will be the top participant with the most collections of books, followed by Oman, Lebanon, and Syria.
The fair will have a collection of 622,000 book titles including 20,000 in English, 268,000 in Arabic, titles, and a special corner for families, and children.
The main theme of the fair is the 'Impact of AI on culture and book publishing."
Visitors to the fair will be guided by a 3D Map apart from the deployment of robots using Artificial Intelligence.
The fair will focus on the Palestinian cause, and also a lecture by Shaikh Kahlan al Kharosi, assistant of Grand Mufti Sheikh Ahmed al Khalili
