Muscat: Registration is now available for the Family Income Support benefit for cases previously registered with Social Security, and registration is done through the nearest service outlet in your governorate, stated the Social Protection Fund in its social media handle.
During the period from February 1 to 4, the Social Protection Fund organised the 'We Meet You' initiative in the Oman Mall commercial complex in Muscat Governorate.
The Social Protection Fund is an integrated system for comprehensive national social protection for all members of society that keeps pace with the best international practices and experiences, and a unified retirement system that seeks to ensure the sustainability of resources.
The public has been clearing their doubts as the second month has begun since the implementation of the fund. One of the questions was, “Are there conditions for the family benefit? If he is laid off from work and receives a job security salary and has a family, is he entitled to it, and how is it calculated?” The SPF also have been encouraging people to register via the Twitter handle to channel through Help and Support form for further assistance that could help individuals who have had difficulties or issues with their requests.
‘Please enter the challenge you are facing through the technical support system so that appropriate support will be provided,’ pointed out SPF.
The Help and Support is a form where the individual can fill out his/her civil number, expiry date of the ID card, e-mail address, mobile number and choose the benefits and provide details in the given digital space and click on send.
Currently, registration is available in the Family Income Support Benefit for cases previously registered with Social Security.
