Al Musannah: The sixteenth Rangers Camp was launched under the auspices of Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali al Habsi, Wali of Al Musannah in the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Al Musannah with the participation of more than 60 rangers and leaders from various branches of the university.

The Rangers Camp is part of the joint activities organized every year by the University of Technology and Applied Sciences with the participation of all its branches.

Dr Nasser bin Salem al Bimani, Assistant Vice Chancellor of the university branch in Al Musannah, delivered the organizing committee’s speech in which he welcomed all the guests and participants in the 16th Rangers Camp, hosted by the university branch in Al Musannah from January 29 to February 1.

He described the event as an exceptional event that adds to the impressive achievements of the previous year's Rangers Camp.

He further mentioned that the current edition of the Rangers Camp comes under the motto, ‘Rangers Scouting: Solidarity, Challenge, Innovation,’ aiming to portray the deep role of rangers, reflecting solidarity, teamwork spirit, and effective communication. The challenge highlights the ambition, strength, and determination of the rangers to overcome obstacles, while innovation showcases their ability to bring about change and create creative solutions to social problems, stimulating innovation in various fields.

The opening ceremony included a presentation highlighting the 22nd Rangers Camp of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, which was hosted last year at the university branch in Al Musannah.

The ceremony also shed light on the achievements of the university Rangers in local and international competitions. An operetta was also performed by rangers showing the Ranger Scouting Movement and its importance in meeting the needs and aspirations of youth, spreading the spirit of belonging and loyalty to the homeland, and demonstrating how it infuses good morals, such as honesty and dedication in the individual.

At the end of the ceremony, Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali al Habsi honoured the university branches participating in the Rangers Camp, as well as the institutions and workshop presenters who have contributed to the success of this activity.
