Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik conferred the Order of Royal Commendation (2nd Class) on some outstanding Omani individuals in appreciation for their remarkable contribution and active roles in different domains.
The recipients of the Royal honours and the domains of action were as follows:
1. Dr Khalid Humaid al Rassadi (Health),
2. Dr Qassim Saleh al Abri (Health),
3. Dr Ahmed Suleiman al Harrasi, (Research),
4. Dr Suleiman Mohammed al Balushi (Research),
5. Dr Mohammed Hamdan al Badi (Research),
6. Dr Jokha Mohammed al Harthi (Culture),
7. Zahran Hamdan al Qasmi (Culture),
8. Haitham Khamis al Farsi (Culture),
9. Ahmed Said al Harthi (Sports),
10. Mohammed Jameel al Mashaikhi (Sports),
11. Razan Hamad al Kalbani (Youth),
12. Said Hamdan al Muqaimi (Public Initiatives and Social Responsibility)
13. Retired pilot Abdul-Salam Issa al Rawahi (Institutional Proficiency).
The medals were handed over by Sayyid Khalid Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, when he received the honoured persons at his office on Tuesday.
Sayyid Khalid said that the conferment of Royal commendation reflects His Majesty the Sultan’s constant follow-up and recognition of efforts exerted by all in serving the nation in all sectors. He hoped that the felicitation would inspire more resourceful contribution to the nation-building process.
