Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, on Friday issued Royal pardon for prisoners including foreigners, convicted in various cases. An official source at the Royal Oman Police stated that 166 inmates, both citizens and foreigners, received Royal pardon. The Royal pardon of His Majesty the Sultan coincides with the glorious 53rd National Day, and in consideration of families of the prisoners. — ONA
