RIYADH: Eng Ali al Madawi, Deputy Secretary-General for Regions Affairs at the Economic Cities and Zones Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said Saudi authorities are making tireless efforts to support investments in the Sultanate of Oman in line with a pledge by both countries to strengthen fraternal relations and foster mutual growth and prosperity.
He told the Oman News Agency that the integrated economic zone in Al Dhahirah is an embodiment of the fraternal relations between the leaderships of Saudi
Arabia and Oman, and a reflection of the desire of the two leaderships to support
development and investment cooperation between them.
Al Madawi stressed his country’s keenness to launch initial work on the infrastructure of the integrated economic zone in Al Dhahirah Governorate, following the signing of an agreement by the Saudi Fund for Development committing 1.2 billion Saudi riyals in funding for the project.
Welcoming the recent visit of a delegation from Oman’s special economic zones and free zones, the official noted that an MoU has been signed to support cooperation in various fields aimed at stimulating investment inflows into the integrated zone. — ONA
