Salalah - The Port of Salalah has been receiving tourist ships almost a daily basis since the start of the cruise season late last month.
On Saturday, it received today a cruise ship Silver Spirit carrying 779 passengers, including 380 tourists.
The ship traveling from Jeddah Islamic Port was heading to Port Sultan Qaboos in the Muscat Governorate.
On Friday, the Port received the cruise ship Queen Elizabeth, carrying 2,885 passengers, including 1,932 tourists.
The ship was coming from the Egyptian port of Safaga and was heading to Sri Lank's capital Colombo.

On Thursday, Salalah Port received two cruise ships carrying 5,189 passengers, including 2,514 tourists.
The ship was coming from Egypt and was heading to Muscat and the Republic of Mauritius.
on November 5, the Port received a cruise ship carrying 2,340 passengers, including 1,566 tourists.
The ship was coming from the Egyptian port of Safaga and was heading to Victoria, the Seychelles Islands.
The programs for cruise passengers in Salalah generally include visiting historical landmarks, beaches, traditional markets, The Museum of the Land of Frankincense, and Al Baleed and Samharam sites.
The Sultanate of Oman witnesses the visit of a number of cruise ships annually due to its strategic maritime location overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, and the Sea of Oman.
