Muscat: Seven judges on Tuesday took the oath of office before Sayyid Mohammed Sultan al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council. The judges were inducted after they passed training at the Higher Judicial Institute and courts. They are joining the administrative judiciary to safeguard the rights of individuals and establish the values of justice.
This step contributed to the Council’s efforts to enhance the judicial authority through the addition of specialized Omani staff to furnish a sound business environment that encourages investment and realizes indirect monitoring of management contracts.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Sayyid Khalifa Said al Busaidi, Chairman of the Supreme Court, Issa Hamad al Azri, Secretary General of the Supreme Judicial Council, and Shaikh Al Mukhtar Abdullah al Harthy, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court.
