MUSCAT: Dollar Car Rental beat OCT Al Amerat by 22 runs on Friday in the G Division League 2023-24 at the Municipality Grounds.
Dollar Car Rental posted 182 in 20 overs courtesy Abdulaziz al Balushi’s staggering 73 and Mohammed al Balushi’s 41.
In response, OCT Al Amerat could only notch 160 with contribution from Rafeek al Balushi’s 43. Mohammed al Balushi bagged 4 wickets in his spell of four overs while Hamza Muhammad and Aniket Gaikwad claim two wickets each.
In the H Division League match at Municipality Grounds, Weekenders thumped Friends XI comfortably by 7 wickets on Friday.
Friends XI crumbled to just 119 with Satisha G scoring 33. Venu Gopinath, Rooswin Anto and Pradeep Ravi bagged two wickets each.
In reply, Weekenders chased down the target with six overs remaining courtesy of Mohasin Moosa’s 42 and Rooswin Anto’s 41 not out to claim victory by 7 wickets.
