Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will be affected by a depression between October 26 and 28, which will bring scattered rains, including thunderstorms accompanied by downward winds, to Northern Governorates, said Oman Meterology.

Even on Wednesday, there are chances of hail and heavy rains that will lead to flowing wadis during the afternoon and evening in areas in and around the Hajar Mountains.
Heavy rainfall, including thunderstorms and hail, accompanied by strong winds, is expected in the governorates of Musandam, North al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahira, South al Batinah, Muscat, Al Dakhyliah, North al Sharqiyah, and South al Sharqiyah.
The heaviest rainfall is expected to be over the Hajar Mountains and the adjacent areas, extending to the coast of the Oman Sea.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has advised all to take precautions during thundershowers rain, not to cross Wadis (Flash Floods), and avoid low-lying areas.

Poor horizontal visibility due to dust rising during thundershowers is also expected.

Meanwhile, Oman Met said the direct effect of the tropical condition Tej has concluded.
The tropical depression is to dissipate over Yemen with a chance of isolated rainfall over Dhofar governorate.
The sea remains moderate along the coastal areas of Dhofar and Al Wusta with a maximum wave height of 2 meters.
