Al Suwaiq: Construction work is underway on Al Suwaiq Hospital in the Governorate of North Al Batinah, which is being implemented by the Ministry of Health at a cost of RO 75 million.
The completion rate in the construction structure of the main building of the hospital has reached 100%, while the total completion rate for all work has reached 50%.
Eng Hamad Hareb al Alawi, Project Manager of Al Suwaiq Hospital told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the project is being built on a land area of 287,000 square metres, while the building area is 47,357 square metres, with a total of 550 parking spaces.
He pointed out that the structural work for the main building has been completed and work is underway to complete the supporting buildings, such as the services building, a warehouse for medical gases, and another for waste, in addition to mechanical and electrical works.
He added that the hospital includes many departments and specialties, such as the adult intensive care unit, the neonatal intensive care unit, the care unit for premature infants, the dialysis unit, the rehabilitation department, the dental unit and the cardiac care unit, in addition to many departments, clinics and service facilities. Once completed, the number of beds in the hospital will stand at 256.
