Urgent GCC aid of $100 million announced for Gaza

• The 43rd session of the Ministerial Council of the GCC was held on Tuesday in the Sultanate of Oman regarding developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip, headed by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council, and with the participation of ministers and in the presence of the Secretary General of the GCC.

The Ministerial Council discussed developments in the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, the escalation of violence and the indiscriminate Israeli bombing of residential neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the death and injury of thousands of civilians, and the urgent and dangerous challenges facing the region as a result.

The Ministerial Council stressed the joint determination of the GCC to create an urgent humanitarian relief operation to help the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the necessity of ensuring the urgent delivery of this aid to Gaza.
