New York: The United Nations (UN) on Monday said that over 123,000 people have been displaced in the Gaza Strip considering the persistent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for the third day.
"Over 123,538 people have been internally displaced in Gaza, mostly due to fear, protection concerns, and the destruction of their homes," said the UN's humanitarian agency, OCHA.
More than 73,000 are sheltering in schools, OCHA added, some of which have been designated emergency shelters, while the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that nearly 74,000 Palestinians fled to 64 schools and shelters in Gaza strip, warning against the constant shelling that targeted one of its schools.
