Sur tried to respond and equalise after the goal, and their forwards had several opportunities, but they couldn't capitalise on them effectively.

On the other hand, Al Nahda capitalised on counter-attacks and long balls to create offensive opportunities. Sur continued their pressure in search of an equaliser. In the 43rd minute, Sur scored the equalising goal through their professional player Roy Labi, who received a cross from Badr al Farsi and directed it into Al Nahda's net, ending the first half in a draw with 1-1.

Al Nahda’s Abdullah Fawaz had a dangerous opportunity in the 48th minute, but Sur's defence cleared the ball. On the other side, Sur’s Mohammed Nasser missed a chance. Then, in the 56th minute, Al Nahda scored their second goal through Ahmed al Matroushi, who capitalised on a corner kick and sent the ball into Sur's net.
