BARKA: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning on Wednesday announced the completion of the first phase of Sorouh project (Hai al Naseem project) in the Wilayat of Barka in South Al Batinah Governorate on a 350,000 sq metre land plot.
Engineer Wisama bin Nasser al Harbi, Director, Department of Integrated Residential Quarters at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, stated that 10 per cent of the first phase of the project has been sold out and that 10 residential units handed over to eligible citizens.
In comments to ONA, Al Harbi said that the Hai al Naseem project is the first of Sorouh projects adding that 220 residential units have already been completed by the end of September.
The project will provide multiple residential solutions of more than 1,000 residential units including 320 flats (3 to 4 room), 120 villas consisting of 3 to 5 rooms, 132 semi-detached villas comprising 3 to 5 rooms and 479 town houses with 3 to 4 rooms.
Citizens who are eligible for residential land grants and were not formerly granted a land plot can submit an application to buy a residential unit at the project. Citizens who have previously obtained a land plot are allowed to replace that land with a residential unit at the project, the official explained. — ONA
