Suhar: To foster entrepreneurship and empower the youth, Mohammed bin Sulaiman al Kindi, the Governor of Al Batinah North, announced the launch of Al Batinah North Entrepreneurship Award that aims to recognise and support young entrepreneurs, ultimately contributing to the economic and social growth of the region.

At a press conference held at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Suhar, Al Kindi revealed the details of the award, which will culminate in the announcement of winners in late December this year. The event was attended by dignitaries, elders, media professionals, journalists, and representatives of media, websites, and social media.

The award's logo, symbolising the continuous growth of trade and the economy in Al Batinah North Governorate, was revealed at the conference. Al Kindi emphasised that entrepreneurship is a collective responsibility, not limited to any specific entity or organisation. He stressed the importance of guiding young individuals to become productive citizens and ambassadors for their country and nation.

“Today, we are coming together to provide a building block that encourages young entrepreneurs in Al Batinah North Governorate to have a positive impact and become proficient ambassadors in their fields," he said.

Al Batinah North Governorate Entrepreneurship Award seeks to inspire and motivate young entrepreneurs, enabling them to excel and serve as role models. It also aims to highlight the success stories of entrepreneurs and provide a platform for them to showcase their work, benefiting other young people seeking employment and self-realisation.

Nasser bin Saeed al Maamari, Director of the Office of Monitoring the Implementation of Oman Vision 2040 at Al Batinah North, outlined the award's objectives. He explained that it aims to enhance competitiveness, recognise excellence, and provide a conducive working environment for building networks, exchanging experiences, and learning about best practices to improve business performance.
