Challenges never stop emerging at every stage in one’s lifetime; but, overcoming obstacles and difficulties is what life is all about. However, some people curse their life just for simple mistakes or disappointments, which they make every now and then in their day-today life. Even so often, you could hear people calling themselves failures or losers perhaps. One can imagine how negative some people are, so they lose hope on life very easily. Though one should not believe in the existence of failure!
In fact, everyone is special and successful in something different than others, but sometimes we do not realise that. Each one of us needs to be optimistic always and believe in the saying “Where there is a will, there is a way”. Nevertheless, people, usually, believe that the condition of not meeting certain desirable objectives is a failure. They consider it as an opposite of success, but it is not; failure may be a little hump on the way to success.
Case in a point, Thomas Edison, the world’s great inventor who invented the electric bulb, declared, “I never failed once. Discovering how to make a light bulb just happened to be a 2,000-step process”. Edison attended school late due to his childhood illness and his teacher Alexander Crawford often called him “addled”. He was kicked out of school three months after starting, and then he was home-schooled by his mother. However, he never gave up on trying what he believed in while trying to invent the bulb. That is why Edison became one of the greatest inventors in the world.
If you think of yourself, you may not like to think of any disappointment that happened to you, but it is a reality that the majority of us crash at some point in our lives. In fact, it is easy to think negatively, especially when it seems that things we do are not good enough. No matter how hard things are, there is always a hope to find your way to jump over the page of such tough times. Men succeed when they realise that their failures are preparation for their future victories. To them, failure happens when they stop trying to fulfill their personal ambitions. Many of the world’s failures are people who did not realise how close they were to success when they gave up.
Sometimes, people might think that they have wasted their time by trying to do something useful and thus regret it, but that should not be the case. The fact that they have tried doing something is much better than doing nothing. It is always said, ‘no pain, no gain’. Patience and insistence have a magical impact that makes difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish afterwards.
In view of that, one has to have his dreams in mind, so that he won’t give up trying over and over to achieve the goals. One never knows that maybe he/she is only one step away from achieving success and meeting personal desires. One shall ask himself is he/she is willing to waste the long journey that was passed when he/she is already so close to reach the planned destination? Therefore, one should personally proceed on the life journey with the same level of enthusiasm as when you first put your first footstep on the path.
To make this possible, you should believe that you are now just one step closer to success. Another way is to keep your mind focused on the destination that takes you to the next step. So, hold on tight and do not give up your dreams. Just remember that Thomas Edison failed thousands of times to invent the light bulb, but he did not consider his attempts as failures. Instead, he regarded them as ways to achieve success. Therefore, one shall never forget that every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success.
