MUSCAT: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism launched the 'Partners Support' platform, which represents a cutting-edge and practical tool designed to facilitate cooperation and engagement among various stakeholders in the tourism industry, including companies, hotel establishments, and the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism. This digital initiative primarily fosters collaboration within tourism marketing and its associated partners in the tourism sector. Furthermore, it serves as a comprehensive hub and repository of crucial information about the strategy for promoting tourism and the various facets of the Omani tourism potential.
The platform offers a wide array of services to its users. These include monthly newsletters that deliver latest updates in tourism promotion and suggestions and innovations to enhance tourism programmes and marketing efforts.
It also provides access to training courses and knowledge assessments, streamlining the registration process for events and activities and delivering up-to-date insights into tourism trends in the Sultanate of Oman.
Additionally, users can access a rich library of tourism-related photos and promotional materials from the ministry.
During the initial two months since its launch, the platform has already garnered a substantial user base (584 registered users).
Significantly, the platform's introduction coincided with the rollout of the 'Majan' elite partners programme. This initiative is designed to incentivise partners to actively engage with the platform and take advantage of the valuable features provided by the ministry.
The platform employs a partner classification system categorising users into Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers. Classification within these tiers is determined based on the extent of a user's interaction with the platform and their successful completion of the required training programmes. Each category offers distinct advantages, granting users special privileges for accessing information and participating in collaborative efforts with the ministry.
