Entitled ‘Modern Methods in Managing and Distributing Zakat Resources’, the forum, which is conducted by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs (MoARA) in accordance with Oman’s Vision 2040, aims at achieving decent living standards for the people of Oman and is based on the fact that achieving sustainable well-being requires creating a stimulating environment for social responsibility programmes, civil voluntary contributions, and programmes to support women and youth that aim at economic empowerment and social empowerment.

“The Forum on Modern Methods in Managing and Distributing Zakat Resources based on the Oman Vision 2040 envisages the promotion of social protection that requires organising the efforts of the concerned institutions and social responsibility projects and their governance, defining its principles and fields, managing it effectively and efficiently, and measuring the impact of the results,” said a MoARA spokesperson.
