Muscat: Heavy to moderate rain associated with hailstone and downdraft wind was reported in the Wilayat of Al Awabi and some parts of Wadi Bani Kharus.
The centre of the wilayat has also experienced heavy downpours accompanied by gale-force winds.
Stal village in Wadi Bani Kharus received torrential rains, causing wadi Man’a to overflow.
Meanwhile, rain of varying intensity fell over villages of Sanib’a, Shawh, Thaqb, Misfat al Shuraiqyyeen and Al Mhasnah, which had led to power outage and internet disconnection.
Meanwhile, a number of villages in the Wilayat of Al Rustaq received heavy to moderate rains led to overflowing of wadis.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution when crossing wadis.
