Adding thrills to the Khareef season, the Spartan Salalah, the world's most popular obstacle course racing organisation, is set to make a triumphant return to Salalah this year, bringing with it an even greater challenge — the Trifecta Weekend.
Participants will be captivated by the region's lush greenery and serene waterfalls as the races are happening in the background of the breathtaking beauty of Salalah.
The physical endurance, mental swiftness and overall coordination of the participants will be in for a test.
In three gruelling races - the Spartan, Super, and Beast along with the Kids Race - athletes and thrill-seekers alike will push their limits amidst the stunning landscapes of Salalah, making this event an unforgettable adventure supporting the tourism initiatives of the region.
Those who love a little bit of adventure in life can get themselves prepared to conquer the Trifecta Weekend in Salalah on September 15 and 16, where nature's allure merges seamlessly with Spartan's ultimate test of strength and endurance.
All finishers are in for surprises as they will receive along with medals, a Spartan T-shirt, and every registration comes with access to the Spartan Account to track one's tickets, race results, teams, and challenges.
One can also become part of the Spartan Salalah as a volunteer. Any citizen or resident who is 16-years-old can register online as a volunteer for the Salalah Trifecta Weekend.
As part of the Spartan Volunteer Team you will be stationed at one of the areas in the festival and out on course to help the core staff and assist participants where needed.
The first in the series of Spartan Salalah was held in 2022 under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar, where 800 athletes from across the world competed for the top positions. It was organised by Spartan Arabia in cooperation with the Dhofar Municipality and Omran Group. Over 900 athletes tested the limits of their endurance on a gruelling obstacle course adjacent to Al Dahariz Beach.
