Salalah: Within the framework of the Governors Forum program organized with the aim of exchanging experiences between the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman; The Governors of different governorates visited a number of sites for events and activities that are part of the Khareef Dhofar season 2023.
The event was held under the theme titled #cooperation_Progress.
According to the official statement, the launch of the Governors Forum under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, the Governor of Dhofar; was organized with the aim of exchanging experiences between the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
His Highness Sayyid Marwa bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar said, "To achieve the national goals, the Governors' Forum has become a necessity to be a platform for exchanging ideas and visions regarding the governorates' actions and plans, to reach the aspirations of His Majesty the Sultan."
On the first day of the forum, working papers were presented and discussion sessions were held on the comprehensive strategy for the Dhofar Governorate, the Dhofar Municipality strategy, the digital transformation program, and investment and development plans.
The Governors' Forum also discussed in Salalah the mechanisms of promoting investment and economic diversification in the governorates.
