MUSCAT: Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort presents a special getaway this season to introduce guests to the superfruit that grows in abundance nearby. The Pomegranate Journey offers a soothing escape that is ideal for couples in the scenic mountains of Oman.
From August 15 to September 15, guests can choose the Pomegranate Journey in the fertile area of Al Jabal Al Akhdhar, also called the Green Mountain, where pomegranates have bloomed alongside roses and apricots for many centuries.
Pomegranates are known as a superfruit due to their high nutritional value and health benefits.
They are a great source of fibre and boost the immune system. The fruit not only tastes delicious but provides around 16 per cent of the daily requirement for Vitamin C, as well as being a good source of Vitamin B and potassium. Packed full of antioxidants, pomegranates are a good aid for weight loss, anti-aging and reducing the risk of heart disease and cancer.
The Pomegranate Journey at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort includes overnight accommodation in luxurious rooms or villas overlooking the dramatic views of the canyon. Guests will embark on a tour with our local Mountain Guru who will demonstrate the pomegranates in bloom and guests can pick their own.
Then a Revitalising Pomegranate Journey awaits at Anantara Spa, which is performed as a couples’ treatment. As dusk falls across the mountain, step into Bella Vista for a sumptuous set menu that showcases the delectable flavours of pomegranate blended with flair by the talented chefs at the resort.
Before departing, breakfast is served at Al Maisan, where guests can admire the striking views while enjoying an appetising spread and as much pomegranate as they desire.
“We invite guests to experience unique local encounters that highlight what is so special at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar. We welcome guests on this Pomegranate Journey to celebrate our local superfruit, which I’m sure they will find delicious, fulfilling and health-boosting,” remarks Maren Kuehl, General Manager of Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort.
