JEDDAH: Delegated by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, arrived on Tuesday in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to lead the Sultanate of Oman's delegation to the 18th consultative meeting of leaders of GCC countries, as well as the GCC-Central Asia Summit.
His Highness was received upon his arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said, the Sultanate of Oman's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah bin Saud al Anzi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of officials in Saudi Arabia.
His Highness was accompanied by an official delegation comprising Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, Eng Said bin Hamoud al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Dr Said bin Mohammed al Saqri, Minister of Economy, HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and two advisers at HH Sayyid Asaad's office.
Earlier, delegated by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Asaad left on Tuesday heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to lead the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation during the 18th consultative meeting of leaders of GCC countries, as well as the GCC-Central Asia Summit.
The meeting and the summit will be held in Jeddah today.
HH Sayyid Asaad and his accompanying delegation were seen off upon their departure by Dr Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information, Dr Saud bin Hamoud al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Dr Rahma bint Ibrahim al Mahrouqiyah, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Secretary-General at HH Sayyid Asa’ad's office and the Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia.
